Is every bedroom private?
Yes, all roooms are private. They all either open to a garden or face the lake.
Do you accept government pay?
We wish it were possible. Our goal is to have the best care possible for each of our clients. Unfortunately, the state doesn’t offer enough to provide that care.
What are your precautions for Covid -19?
We are very diligent to protect your family member with us. No unnecesary vistors are allowed (temporary). Each visitor is tested for temperature before they enter the facility.
The caregivers do their best to avoid being in public. Also each caregiver wears an antiviral mask that has be tested to kill Covid-19. We don’t accept caregivers that want to work in multiple facilities.
We have installed two air purification systems that both kills bacteria and viruses (including Covid 19) in the air and on the surface.
We use washing pads/sponges that kill bacteria and viruses. Since these cleaning pads can not collect microbes, but kills them instead, there is NO risk of spreading contamination around.
Do you provide special diets as needed?
Yes, we are very comfortable with diabetic, vegan, or dairy-free diets. Talk to us about your loved one’s needs.
Our Central Location in Whatcom County
Nestled On Wiser Lake
Situated in a 1.1 acre park-like setting, Lakeside Gardens is nestled along Wiser Lake in the center of Whatcom county. Though in the middle of raspberry country, it is within 4-7 miles distance from the four regional towns of Bellingham, Lynden, Ferndale, and Everson and only 10 miles from the Bellingham International airport.
Surprisingly, driving to Lakeside Gardens only involves a single turn off the major freeways from either Seattle or Vancouver, B.C. Canada.
HOW TO FIND US
from Bellingham…
From the I-5 freeway going through Bellingham take exit 256A (WA-539N/Guide Meridian Road towards Lynden and the Canadian border. Continue travelling on this road going straight through 2 roundabouts. After just over 8 miles you will approach Wiser Lake. Turn right into the last driveway before crossing the lake. Lakeside Gardens is the 3rd house on the driveway and the only one with a flat roof.
(If you cross the lake you have gone too far. Fortunately there is a roundabout immediately after crossing the lake which you can use to turn around and try again)
from Lynden…
Turn left, heading south, onto WA-359/Guide Meridian Road. In approximately 4 miles you will cross Wiser Lake. Continue on 1/2 mile to the Pole Road turnabout where you will reverse direction now going N on the Guide Meridian Road. At the last driveway before the lake, turn right and proceed to the 3rd house (see directions for Bellingham above).
from Ferndale…
From Main Street in Ferndale, cross the freeway and continue on Axton Road till you reach Guide Meridian Road (3.2 miles). Turn left on WA-359N/Guide Meridian Road. In 3.7 miles turn right onto the last driveway before the lake – proceed to the 3rd house (see directions for Bellingham above).
from Everson…
Head west on W Main Street (WA 544) and continue through bends of the road as is changes name to Everson Rd, Kale St, Mead Ave, Everson Goshen Road and finally E. Pole Road. After eight miles your will turn right at the turnabout at Guide Meridian Road. In 1/2 a mile you will come to the last driveway before crossing Wiser Lake – turn right onto this driveway and proceed to the 3rd house (see directions for Bellingham above).
