Lakeside Gardens was created 25 years ago for the initial purpose of demonstrating that better, more personal care can be given to those you love during their time of changing needs. We have fulfilled this goal and continue to make it our daily purpose.

Have you ever visited a friend in a facility and watched them wait 40 minutes after they ring their call bell? We have. So we think it’s important that you know that that doesn’t happen at Lakeside Gardens.
Lakeside Gardens was designed, from the start, to care exclusively for only 6 resident guests. This way, we’re able to be able to provide both the best care and the quickest response.
Being a small facility, we’re able to deliver care as needed and have a superior ratio of caregivers to guests of between 1 to 1 and 1 to 6 at all times instead of the standard of care ratio of around 1 to 12 up to 1 to 20. This also enables you to have the privacy to enhance your family intimacy while visiting.

Our care is personalized for each and every resident, not institutionalized! Darla Laughlin, the manager, isn’t satisfied with standard care and will constantly work with your loved one’s doctors and therapists, until your family member attains the best health possible for their situation. You know the term for that. It’ called advocacy, and it’s what Lakeside does best and it’s not standard in other facilities today.
At Lakeside Gardens, the same personal attention, that is applied to care, is also applied for activities for our resident guests. While we have outings and exercise, as other places do, we also plan personalized activities that facilitates the personal interests of each of our guests.
